What an amazing competition this was! The Cheerleaders trained really hard for 9 long weeks and it certainly paid off.
Flare competed in the Level 1 KS1 category. For some of the athletes this was the first time they had ever competed but, they overcame their nerves and did an amazing performance. Their smiles were the biggest I have ever seen and you could see just how much they enjoyed performing. Flare performed so well they were awarded 1st place out of 6 teams.
Ignition competed for the first time in the Level 2 KS2 category and this meant that they had to learn new tumbling skills and stunts in order to take part in this category. They put their hearts and souls into their routine and because of this they also received 1st place out of 4 teams.
Finally Ignition also entered the KS2 Pom Dance category. This again was a category they had never competed in before and wow they did themselves proud. As they performed they sang along to their music and danced with such pride, they really did enjoy peforming this routine. They peformed so well they were awarded 2nd place out of 9 teams.
What a fantastic way to end the season.
