Tintwistle is a friendly, happy village school with four classes and around a hundred and fifteen pupils, including nursery children. Tintwistle School has a very long history but is housed in a modern building with excellent facilities. We have a playing field, adventure playground, wildlife area and vegetable garden. We are very proud of our school and welcome visits from prospective pupils and parents.
Tintwistle is a Church of England (Aided) Primary School. The teaching of the Church of England strengthens the ethos of our school but all religions are respected and we welcome children and parents from all denominations. The school offers 17 places in the reception class each year; applications should be made online on the Derbyshire website www.derbyshire.gov.uk/admissions . Please see the admissions policy for further details. Nursery admissions are handled directly by the school, please see our nursery admissions policy.
